About Bonnie

Daddy was in the Army and our family of six traveled a lot when I was a child.  When we did live in Keyser, we lived out on First Street, in the rear of the Cozy Corner (if anyone remembers that).  With all our traveling, we ended up in Hampton, Virginia, where my brother and oldest sister currently reside.  I returned to this area, in 1993, to be near Momma and Poppa Pete.  I accepted a position in Oakland, Maryland where I resided for about a year, prior to moving to Keyser.

In addition to running the shop, I teach a Computer Information Systems class at Potomac State College (WVU) in the fall.  I also teach individuals, one on one, when time permits.

I am a member of Grace United Methodist Church, here in Keyser.  Although I don’t attend regularly, I pray regularly and support my church religiously. J I respect Sunday as the day of rest.

I have approximately 25 years experience in working with computers.  My career started when I obtained my A.A.S. degree in Computer Science with a specialization in Computer Programming in 1986.  In May 2004, I obtained my B.S. degree in Business Technology.

God did not grace me with children, so I’ve always had pets.  Angel Gabriel greeted my customers until October 30, 2009 when he went to live with Momma & Daddy in heaven.  As Poppa Pete so preciously mentioned, “he’s truly an Angel now!”  Now, I have a female Border Collie that’s 7 months old.  Yes, I named her Clyde.  Why?  Because it goes with “Bonnie” … Why Else?  J

Guess what my favorite color is?  J

My family is originally from Keyser, WV.  My mother was, Betty Lou Paugh Hartman and my father was John Richard Hefner, Sr, both originally of Keyser.  In 1982, my mother remarried a wonderful man and friend, Peter D Hartman, and returned to her home place on Sharpless Street in Keyser.  As many of you remember, Momma worked in the shop when it was first opened with Marc Trottier & Jessie Simmers.  Momma died of Leukemia (AML) on April 9, 2003.  Daddy passed away in March 18, 2007.
